Cherokee and Ilsa

February 2, 2019 //  by deniseb

Cherokee

Happy Endings!!! Cherokee had an unusual experience this past spring. He was adopted in March, but things were not working out with that first adopter. Unfortunately in the process of coordinating his return to us, the adopter made a very poor decision and dumped poor Cherokee on the grounds of Hagley Museum 🙁 After several heart-wrenching days and a long vigil by many volunteers of Forgotten Cats and Delaware Humane Association, Cherokee was finally rescued and brought back into our care. He was then placed at our adoption center in Christiana.

Ilsa (dilute tortie) was at Brandywine for about 2 months, without one application. She was transferred to Christiana to see if she would get noticed there instead. AND…what better ending…Cherokee & Ilsa became best buds, and were adopted TOGETHER in June by a lovely mom & daughter who now dote on both cats, and simply adore them!

We’re so glad we were able to bring these kitties together and that they were adopted into a truly forever home. Thank you to the wonderful volunteers who saved Cherokee, and to the forever family for adopting him and Ilsa! Wishing many happy years for you all!
