Onward and Upward to Saving More Lives
For the past two decades, Forgotten Cats’ mission has been to humanely reduce the homeless cat population and to end the suffering of the kittens born to abandoned, homeless cats. We have sterilized more than 176,000 cats and placed over 20,000 cats in loving, forever homes. We have had the largest positive impact on reducing the homeless cat population of any organization in the country.
In 2020, the demand for our medical services skyrocketed and we were forced to turn away cats and people in desperate need. Forgotten Cats offers so much more than the standard spay/neuter clinic. For most cats, their visit to our clinic is the first and only time they will ever receive medical care in their life. We carry this knowledge with us each day as we triage, treat, and rehabilitate abandoned and feral cats. Sadly, many of these cats are discarded pets that are now homeless and struggling to survive on the streets and they come to us traumatized both mentally and physically.
Seeing the scars of the cruelty of homelessness day after day, we simply cannot bear to turn away one more sweet soul. For that reason, we are expanding so that we can help more homeless cats and provide the necessary lifesaving care they so desperately need.
We are turning our sites “onward & upward” by adding a second floor to our Trainer facility. This will allow us to increase our lifesaving services and significantly improve the lives of cats.
Our new second floor will be filled with eight spacious free-roaming rooms lined with large windows, cat perches, and trees. Our newly designed first floor will have a significantly expanded Trapped Cat Holding Room which will allow us to help even more homeless cats.
Check out our highlight video to learn about this exciting expansion and lifesaving mission.
HIGHLIGHTS
Just imagine how much better life will be for the cats living in the free-roaming cat rooms with windows, cat trees, plenty of toys, comfy beds and so much more! In addition, the free-roaming cat rooms will:
- Reduce stress, thereby keeping the cats healthier.
- Reduce medical costs due to less illness.
- Provide space for a special hospitalization area.
- Provide a safer, more efficient, and positive working environment for volunteers.
- Increase volunteer opportunities for younger volunteers who need community service hours and seniors by allowing them to volunteer to interact with the free-roaming cats.
- Allow for more adequate quarantine space for any cats requiring isolation due to illness, thereby reducing the risk of the spread of disease.

area.
In addition to providing a healthier environment for the cats by allowing for increased disease control, the expanded Trapped Cat Holding Room will:

- Allow for the addition of more surgical days.
- Provide the opportunity for increased rescue partnerships.
- Allow for increased personnel protection.

WHERE WE ARE
OUR GOAL: $740,000

But we need YOUR help to finish the construction before kitten season starts. We still need to fit out all of the rooms on the second floor and expand the trapped cat holding room on the first floor. Because kitten season is right around the corner, time is of the essence.
Please help us reach our goal, so that we can finish this lifesaving project.

HOW TO HELP
We also have some other great opportunities to help meet our goal. We are offering naming opportunities for the various new rooms in the expanded facility, as well as much needed equipment. Click here for details.
Additionally, we have sponsorship opportunities for businesses. And right now, we are featuring a new Community Partnership level, which will have a special plaque in the facility. Click here for details.
Working together, we can prevent the unnecessary suffering that homeless cats have to endure. The expanded facility will help us to save more lives and prevent the birth of kittens born to abandoned, homeless cats.
